Description
We’ve been working on these maps for a while, and now we’re ready for launch!
Prerequisites: E800 SW installed on your navigator before replacing the HDD. (SW available here)
And if you send back your original drive you’ll get a 150 SEK Store Credit! But it is totally fine if you want to keep your original drive too!
If you send back your drive we can also extract your old .mp3 music from it and upload it to the cloud for you to download, making it possible for you to keep your files. If music has been recorded from CD we’re not able to extract it since no converter for these files exist (blame Sony).
Maps will be delivered on automotive grade disks, ready for drop in installation. Once you’ve tried it out, decide if you want to keep your original as a spare, or send it back to us for the 150 SEK store credit (inc VAT)

No, that's simply not true. I gained access to these drives in 2015, providing the newer 2013 maps at the time. I also found the matching map-data for this current base in March 2019, and began pre-developing... but due to high work load at the time and I didn't have time to finish (with debugging, the same bugs that are still in the system today.) - hence I opted out for the 2018/2019 maps. However, what did happen, is that a customer wanted his 2019 maps (from the "competitor") updated to my 2021 maps, which I did, and a human mistake of mine just copied and replaced the files, leaving one file of the previous filesystem on the updated drive. And this drive was unfortunately used as a "master" disk for some units. I also want to clarify that I presented the 2021 maps weeks before they did, and I also have proven myself in the understanding of these system, being able to make units to ship without the customers original drive, and even extend the file storage for music, and removed yet an other bug in the system. What I won't do, is to follow their example in smear campaigns against competitors - it's unworthy of the Saab community. I also believe that Facebook groups and Saab forums is made for Saab enthusiasts and not for companies as marketing platforms or in worse cases, smear others.2021-04-11 12:01:07answered on
